For week 3, we looked at the Industrial Revolution and how it impacted society.
The new century saw a wealth of new technology which would change the world forever. Inventions such as planes would completely change how the world operates, such as traveling which would become increasingly popular. Below are some of the most famous inventions and their inventors.

The first ever photo was taken by Joseph Niepce in 1826, it showed the view form the window at La Gras.
Around ten years later Louis Daguerre took a photograph of the Boulevard Du Temple in 1838. The difference of quality shows how quick photography improved in such a short amount of time.
The zoetrope was a toy with a series of photos on the wall, by turning this toy the photos were able to be seen rapidly creating the illusion of motion
The thaumatrope was invented by John Ayrton Paris in the 1800s, this invention was an optical illusion toy that was made form a paper disk with a picture of each side of the paper and string attached to each side. By quickly twirling the string the two images merged and made a illusion that it was moving.
The Mutoscope is an early motion picture device, invented by W. K. L. Dickson and Herman Casler and granted U.S. Patent 549309A to Herman Casler on November 5, 1895. Like Thomas Edison's Kinetoscope, it did not project on a screen and provided viewing to only one person at a time.
