In todays lecture, we were introduced to framer, a code free tool that allows us to create webpages easily. We transformed our design on Figma into a website on framer.
Framer and Figma are actually collaborating programs, so it wasn't extremely difficult to use them together. Firstly, we had to transfer all the content on Figma over to framer. We had to resize the content to fit 3 different screens, this allows the content to readjust when using a phone, Ipad or laptop.
To transfer the content over copying and pasting was not going to work, we had to chose Figma to HTML with Framer. Then we had to position the sections to fit the screen.
However, some problems started to arise when finished, for example the alignment of the text is not in the centre. I am not quite sure if Framer is as adaptable as I thougth. I thought that because Framer was a no code tool it would be a lot easier and less time consuming however, HTML seems to be very hard to understand and work correctly.
Overall, I tried a lot of ways to fix problems that kept occuring in Framer, however, I could not fix any. I am not familiar with Framer therefore, I will be creating my project on HTML and CSS. Although HTML and CSS is incredibly time consuming and sometimes very confusing I believe the end result is alot more adaptable to other screens. I will be watching some Framer videos that give more information on how to use the site to understand it more for future refrence.
