This week was the first week of 501 project, we were introduced through the basic reminder information such as attendance being important, the projects mark rubric etc. It is always refreshing to hear this information again as there is always something that slips your mind. Over the summer, I had a few ideas in mind that I am interested in and think could be great potentials for my final year project.

My ideas that I have been thinking about include:

1. An app that targets women who are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant after a traumatic experience such as miscarriage or stillbirth.
2. An app that supports those with addictions, categorising all addictions, AI could help personalise app to the specific addiction
3. An app that supports those who want to start a business digitally, such as building their illustration brand, connecting them with people who can direct them to selling their products

Overall, it was quite nerve-wracking to begin idea generation for the final project, I really need to work on my time management and ensure I am spending enough time on this project as well as the dissertation. I have a few commitments that take up a good bit of time every week therefore I need to prioritise my research as well, I think creating a time schedule would be a great start. However, I already have a few ideas to choose from so it is just deciding on the idea and I can start the research. I am not as nervous for the actual project itself, as I have really missed focusing on one project after the summer break. I am excited to start completing the research, as well as designing and brining my idea to life!

I want to really be creative and test my skills with this project as I have come to realise that this is potentially the last year I will have the freedom to be completing projects that I choose and can have really good fun with. Thinking about the plans I have after graduating I don't know if I will have the opportunity to really create something of my own, as much as I would love to become an entrepreneur I also know the future is unpredictable therefore I want to use this time as efficiently as possible.
