For this week we had a critique, I was nervous as I didn't have much time to spend on the screens as we only had a week. However, for only a weeks work, I do like how they have turned out. I decided to do the four main screens that show the different features of the app such as audio or visual information. I also included a bucket list as I think this fits very well into the app.
Below is the screens I had uploaded to the miro board to be critiqued. From just looking at these screens I know that the size of the text in the screens will be a problem.
My critique went really well and I am happy with the feedback. I only had a few things to chnage such as the obvious, size of the text. The lecturer advised I go onto Apple’s guidelines and look at their rules for the size of text on an Apple Watch. Another problem the lecturer noticed was the information screen, this will be incredibly hard for the user to read. I was encouraged to change this screen to show the text being read as highlighted as the rest of the text is fading, similar to Apple Music’s lyric as the audio my be hard to hear in crowded spaces.
My classmates also got to leave a review to encourage the best possible app that appeals to as many users as possible. I really appreciate the notes that like the idea of my app, also the few that are giving some advice are extremely helpful. This will definitely encourage me to perfect my app.
After considering all the feedback I received on my app this is how the screens turned out. I am definitely a lot more pleased with these screens than the previous ones. I am very close to being finished this project, I am just going to spend slightly more time perfecting it to how I want.
We also completed a Sailboat task, where we had to write post it notes under 3 sections. The 3 different sections included barriers, what drives us towards our goal and what we want out goal to produce or have.
Below is what we came up with as a class. We divided these post it notes into different sections to see what is most important, as we can see safety and accessibility are factors with great concern. This will be useful when completing my research for this project!
Overall, I am really happy with how the critique went! With the help of the lecturer and classmates I can really see my app coming together after I make a few tweaks. I am really pleased with my screens especially with the little time I had. I also have a better idea of the factors of Autonomous Vehicles that are of more concern than other factors. This is helpful as I can look into this more during the research of Autonomous Vehicles.
