Over the Easter break, we were asked to complete a UX Teardown of an app of our own choice, the purpose of this is to analyse and evaluate the user experience of a business. This could involve usability, design, accessibility and user satisfaction, by doing this we can inspect the strengths and weaknesses and areas for improvement. The results we we receive from this teardown will allow us to have an insight into what we can do to make our bank as effective and user friendly as possible
Revolut is an online mobile banking company that offers digital banking services, it also provides a range of financial services such as currency exchange, stock trading, crypto currencies, worldwide money transfers etc. Revolut was founded in 2015 and since then it has grown more and more successful due to its informative and flexible services conveniently from their phone.
Overall, Revolut’s banking app highlights its user friendly interface, smooth navigation and unique financial features. They have done well making the apps navigation and interactiveness extremely seamless which is attractive to users. However, some users may find their expectations of the app’s aesthetics and vibrant colours disappointing, I think this is something they could improve within their app as this would be a big factor for why a user would choose a competing brand that uses a consistent colour scheme over Revulot. Overall, Revolut offers a convenient and innovative solution for managing finances wherever you are.
