My next step was to make a SWOT Analysis chart, at this stage i know what my app will be including and what it aims to do, so i think this stage is perfect for a SWOT Chart. Separating the SWOT analysis into internal and external factors helped to clearly identify both design-related challenges and wider market considerations.

This SWOT analysis allowed me to step back and evaluate both the design of Pearl and its position within the wider market, some points are in a potential perspective as things such as branding haven’t been created yet. By separating internal and external factors, I was able to clearly identify the strengths of my project, particularly its focus on emotional support, inclusivity, and thoughtful design. At the same time, it highlighted areas that could be improved, such as the need for more user testing and further refinement of certain features. Looking at external factors also made me more aware of the challenges of introducing a new app into an already established market, as well as the importance of building trust with users due to the sensitive nature of the topic. It also helped as it made me begin to think about the launch strategu of my app, such as potenial events outside of the app like e physical experiences. Overall, this process helped me better understand the potential of Pearl while also recognising the steps needed to develop it further into a more effective and impactful product.
