For the last project in Content Design we are being tasked to design a Digital product around one SDG, we also have the option to choose between the target audience this is being directed towards.

This project will ask you to look at the content of the SDGs from the micro packets of information in each goal of the SDG to the wider range of content shown.

SDGs are global goals that are adopted by the United Nations that aim for “peace and prosperity for people and the planet”. SDGs help tackle major worldwide issues such as climate change and work to preserve endangered nature such as oceans. SDGs are a combination of ways of improving environmental, social and economical factors. There are 17 different SDGs that were made in 2015. The main causes of these issues include conflict, climate change, natural disasters, weak government and health systems and discrimination.
Each SDG has multiple targets that they try to hit to track progress of the goals, all together there is 169 targets which is roughly 10 per SDG. Each goal is connected and we have to address all issues to resolve one. With these targets there will be more than enough context to create a digital product based on one of the SDGs. I wanted to have a look into each one to decide which I was going to use for my project, below are the goals and their mission statements.

Goal 3 focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages by improving healthcare systems, reducing maternal and child mortality, combating diseases, and promoting mental health.
