The main components of any dissertation is:

An Introduction

This is where you will be stating the topic you will be writing about and outlining the structure of the dissertation. This section is what people will first read so it’s important to have it grab the reader’s attention.

A literature review

This when you take a piece of academic writing that discusses topics that will also writing about and identify and evaluate the points made through out it to show your understanding of the topic.

Methodology

This section of a dissertation is about the various research methods that have be conducted. As well as the analysis of each method in extensive detail because this is what creates the foundation for the following section; the results.

Results

This is where your findings from the methodology section are reviewed and analysis.

Discussion

This section takes the findings from the results and how it compares to their research questions and in what way it answers it as well as what new questions it creates surrounding it.

Conclusion

The last section is a reflection on your findings and how it can be brought back to your main point of the dissertation.
